Music Video of the Week: Dinner @ Brasserie Zédel by Luvcat, directed by Ollie Bradley-Baker.
Luvcat serves up a surreal fever dream in her latest music video, a unique yet charming love song wrapped in vintage glamour. The video combines romance and devotion, with a strong sense of nostalgia and noir aesthetics.
Transforming a humble greasy spoon café into a visually striking setting, the video echoes Luvcat’s past as a waitress in Liverpool. With influences from Twin Peaks, it offers a Lynchian portrayal of red-tinged longing, candlelit confessions, and a touch of dark humour. A drunken marching band adds to the dreamlike atmosphere, while Luvcat commands the space with a golden microphone, singing of love and desire.
“Dinner @ Brasserie Zédel” blurs the line between romance and devotion, combining nostalgia with noir aesthetics.
