Music Video Of The Month - November

Music Video of the Month: "Lean On Me" by Poppy Ajudha, Directed by the duo known as NWSPK.

The video captures the theme of mutual support and empathy, embodying the essence of the lyrics, “Lean on me, I’ll lean on you.” It’s a powerful portrayal of supporting one another.

Poppy Ajudha appears alongside a group of dancers whose movements are choreographed to symbolise the act of relying on each other. At one point, the dancers lift Poppy into the air, a striking representation of how people uplift each other during challenging times. This act speaks to the video’s core message of support.

Cinematographer Sam Hooper adds depth with a variety of wide shots, overhead perspectives, and close-ups to create dynamic visuals. A bold red colour palette unifies the scenes, with all the dancers dressed in red attire. In this context, the colour red serves as a powerful symbol of strength, warmth, and connection.

"Lean On Me" thoughtfully reminds us of the importance of supporting one another.
